Flawless VoxBox from Influenser

It has been awhile since I've written a blog about an Influenster box! So, here is my newest one. I was chosen for the Flawless VoxBox! It had some products that I have had, and some that are new.

What was in it:

Some of these things I have tried & used, some I have not! I did already have an EBATES account, and we buy Harvest Snaps a lot. I also have gotten SinfulColors nail polish in a few other boxes, but it's fun to get different colors. 

I haven't had a chance to use Dr Teal's Epsom Salt yet, mostly because we don't really have a bath tub, so I am looking for a way to use it for a foot soak! I figured it's the easiest way to try it. The tea I am working on. I tried the Soothing Rose Hibiscus tea today, and I was not entirely sure about it. I tried it without sugar, and with. I'll give the other one a try soon, probably at night since it's suppose to be a winding down type tea. 

I'll try to update (or make a new post!) about the last few things after I try them. So check back in a week or two!

PS - Harvest Snaps are the best snacks ever! My 3 & 6 year old boys LOVE them!!  

Dessange Paris

I have gotten another VoxBox! This time it is the Dessange Pairs California Blonde Collection hair care. Today is my first day using it, so...I took some before photos. I hope it will work with my hair, as my hair is naturally blonde. I would LOVE to have the California Blonde hair. Without having to go to a salon would be even better.

I now notice the one is upside down lol OOPS! In my box I got the shampoo, conditioner & Color Créme. After my first use, I can say that the scent is a little strong for me, but probably nothing out of the ordinary for hair color products. The Color Créme isn't giving me any irritation, which I did expect since my skin is sensitive usually. That's about the only opinion I can form as of right now.

Celestial Seasonings Taste Test

I got a sample, 2 tea bags, of the Celestial Seasonings decaffeinated Candy Cane Lane Green Tea to try. I like green tea a lot, cold or hot it doesn't matter. I figured I would like this too, BUT I also add sugar to my green tea - what can I say, I like sweet things!

I followed the directions on the package figuring the best taste is to do what it says, not do it the way I usually do when making tea. Opening the package, the peppermint scent really came out. I really liked how it smelled, which is always a good start! I poured hot water over my tea bag, then I added a little cool water to it. I let it sit for the 3 minutes, probably longer since I am one who can't drink hot drinks super hot!

My first taste, I needed sugar. I asked my husband if he wanted to try it, and he said sure. He tried it and said it was really good and didn't need sugar. So I tried it again, and well....no. I just need sugar. I ended up giving it to my husband since he seemed to really like it. He isn't a peppermint fan, so it surprised him he liked it. I was expecting there to be more peppermint honestly. But hey, at least 1 of the 2 of us liked it, my 4 year old probably would too!

I love green tea, and I will try it again. I'll add sugar next time though!

Rimmel London Scandal Eyes & Make up Remover

I received the Rimmel London Scandal Eyes eyeliner & Gentle Eye Make Up Remover in my Frosty VoxBox from Influenster. I don't normally wear eyeliner because I usually get itchy eyes - but I must try it in hopes to find something that won't. So here is my little review on both!

I am pleasantly surprised with the eyeliner! I have a whole drawer full of some, and I never use them because they make my eyes itch, they don't go on easy or I just got them and never tried them. The Rimmel London Scandal Eyes went on so smoothly, it makes it super easy to apply! I also wore it a whole day with no problems. I don't know the price point on this since I had gotten it free for testing, but I would for sure recommend this!

Now to the make up remover. The Rimmel London make up remover is super easy on the eyes. It did take most of my eye make up off, but I had a harder time getting the eyeliner off. I am not sure if that is normal for all make up removers since I don't wear a lot of make up, so I can't really compare it. I did like it though, it got the mascara off pretty quickly!

No7 Protect & Perfect Serum.

I got a sample of N7 Protect & Perfect Serum from Influenster for testing purposes.

I wish that I could have had more to try than a couple days worth. I really think I would like it. It didn't have any scent, which is nice. It also went on smoothly. I don't really have any photos though since a few days you won't really notice any difference.

It is suppose to help with wrinkles. While I am only 30, I don't have many but I do have a few. Mostly around my eyes. I may use my coupon and get some to try it out. Why not right?

Frosty VoxBox!

I am finally able to take a few moments to write about my Frosty VoxBox! All items are free from Influenster for testing purposes! I have invites - so if you want to try free stuff & tell people what you think of it, let me know!

I am personally not a hair brush user. My hair & I have a love hate relationship. It loves to do what it wants to do, so I usually hate it LOL. I tried to use the brush with right out of the shower wet hair, but my hair is way to tangled to even try. So I used it after I used my large tooth comb. It went through my hair really great! The bristles are hard enough to work well, but soft enough to to not be hard on the head. It also seems to make the hair dry a bit faster, something I would have loved when we lived in South Dakota during the winters. I love this brush! 

NYC Expert Lip Color in Sugar Plum is a great lip color. It's not bright - which is nice for my complex. It goes on smooth too! Although I am not use to using lip color, I would use this product again. Great for just a hint of color.

I can't wait to try the rest of my box! I also think my 4 year old will love the Fruit Vines! We are going to try those today yet.

Braun ThermoScan Thermometer

My newest VoxBox is the Braun ThermoScan Thermometer. I really did need something other than the arm pit ones & the oral ones. It's next to impossible to get a temp out of either of my kids - ages 4 & 1. I also needed it the week before I had gotten mine, but that's ok. We have it now :)

I wasn't really sure what to expect when I opened the box. Would it really be that easy to use? Will it really only take a couple of seconds to read their temp? The answer is YES for both! It REALLY is that easy to use! You can even take your own temp pretty easy (hey, had to try!). 

I can see where this would be one of those gifts for a new parent. Something that you don't really think of, because let's be honest. The ones you get in those baby sets are not really the easiest to use on a new baby. I could have also really used this when my second son was a newbie now that I think of it. I always had to take his temp, and I really hated doing it. 

I have a video that shows you how to use it. It's not the best, and I've never really made a video. I had to do it myself (looks like I should go buy a phone tripod now!), so if you'd like to see it in use, then head to my YouTube video and check it out.
